Hey hey,

I'm Gia, a 31-year-old self-taught artist from Hamburg. My artistic journey began in childhood, deeply influenced by my creative family. Introduced to the world of art at a young age, I attended art classes as a kid, with a dedicated easel always set up in my bedroom.

Since 2019, I’ve been exploring the interplay of light and shadow as an independent artist. My early work featured sculptural pieces crafted from plaster, known for their three-dimensional form and absence of color.

Currently, I’ve returned to painting, continuing to embrace minimalism while drawing inspiration from the serene beauty of modern architecture and themes of solitude and introspection. Each piece reflects my ongoing pursuit of artistic growth and refinement.

In addition to large-scale paintings, I’m now experimenting with oil paint and the alla prima technique, which allows me to work quickly, explore a variety of scenes, and push my skills further. My oil paintings capture the romance of everyday moments, inspired by the small joys in life. These scenes include modern still lifes, where I explore fresh perspectives on everyday objects.

Thank you for believing in my vision and being a part of this journey!

With gratitude,
Gia

My first still life

This is my first still life, created at age 4 or 5 during an art class at the Hamburger Kunsthalle. Painted on an old newspaper and gifted back to me by my mom for my 30th birthday, it now brightens my utility room with happy memories :)
