Returns, Withdrawals and Refunds
1. Final Sale Policy
All artworks are offered as original works of art and, where applicable, as unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Each Daily Study is an individual artwork created as part of an ongoing artistic practice and is sold only once.
Except where otherwise required by applicable law, all sales are final. We do not offer voluntary returns, exchanges or refunds solely on the basis of a change of mind, personal preference, or a difference between the colours perceived on screen and those experienced in person.
The individual nature of each artwork, including its colours, composition, surface and material characteristics, forms an integral part of the work. Customers are therefore encouraged to review all product descriptions, dimensions, photographs and material specifications carefully before placing an order.
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts any mandatory statutory consumer rights applicable to a particular transaction.
2. Statutory Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, consumers may withdraw from the contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason.
Unless otherwise provided by applicable law, the withdrawal period expires fourteen (14) days from the day on which the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the artwork.
To exercise this right, the consumer must inform us of their decision to withdraw from the contract by means of an unequivocal statement sent by email to:
The notification must be submitted before the applicable withdrawal period expires. Consumers may use any legally recognised method of communicating their decision, where applicable.
The statutory right of withdrawal applies independently of our voluntary return policy and remains subject to any applicable statutory exceptions.
3. Return of the Artworks
Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, the artwork must be returned or handed over to us without undue delay and, in any event, no later than fourteen (14) days from the date on which the consumer communicates their decision to withdraw from the contract. This deadline is met if the artwork is dispatched before the fourteen-day period expires.
The direct costs of returning the artwork are borne by the customer where permitted by applicable law and provided the customer was duly informed of this obligation before placing the order.
Due to the delicate nature of original artworks and their frames, all returns must be packaged with appropriate care and protection to minimise the risk of damage during transit. We strongly recommend using the original packaging and packing materials, following the original packing method wherever possible, and using a tracked and insured shipping service.
The customer should retain the shipment receipt and tracking information until the return has been completed.
The use of the original packaging is strongly recommended but does not, by itself, determine whether a statutory right of withdrawal exists. Any liability for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the artwork is determined in accordance with applicable law.
4. Consequences of Withdrawal and Refunds
Where a valid statutory withdrawal is exercised, we will reimburse the payments required by applicable law, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered by us where required. Additional delivery costs resulting from the customer's choice of a more expensive delivery method will not be reimbursed where permitted by law.
Refunds will be issued without undue delay and within the applicable statutory deadline. Where legally permitted, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned artwork or the customer has supplied evidence of having sent it back, whichever occurs first.
Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. No fees will be charged to the customer for the reimbursement itself.
A customer's potential liability for diminished value, as well as any other rights or remedies arising from damage, defects or non-conformity, will be assessed in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions.
5. International Orders
Orders may be shipped to customers in Germany, elsewhere in the European Union and in other international destinations. The availability and scope of statutory withdrawal rights, mandatory refund obligations and other consumer protections may vary according to the applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.
For international orders, this policy is intended to establish a consistent framework for voluntary returns, return shipping and the handling of original artworks. It does not displace mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply to a particular transaction.
Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the final sale policy set out above applies to all artworks, including the Daily Studies.
